MEEHubs speaker list announced

It’s a privilege to be co-organising the Microbial Ecology and Evolution “Hub” Conference (MEEHubs2026), to take place 3rd to 5th August this year, along with UoM superstars Dr. Danna Gifford and Dr. Mike Bottery.

We’re delighted to announce that the MEEHubs2026 Website is now LIVE, with an outstanding roster of invited speakers!

MEEHubs is a highly successful hub-based conference aiming to make academic conferences and networking more sustainable. Manchester will host the UK hub (~100 delegates), alongside sister hubs in Switzerland, Ukraine, Canada, Mexico and the USA (~900 delegates total).

The Smith Lab

The Smith lab is located in the Michael Smith building on the University of Manchester campus in Manchester, UK. We are part of the School of Biological Sciences and Division of Evolution, Infection, and Genomics (EIGEN). The Smith lab is an activate member of the Microbial Evolution Research at Manchester (MERMan) group, a collective of 15 PIs and >60 research staff.
