The Smith Lab
The Smith lab is located in the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, an award-winning interdisciplinary centre for bioscience discovery and innovation.
Our research lies at the intersection of molecular microbiology, evolution, and biotechnology, with a core focus on the mechanisms and applications of bacterial anti-competitor toxins.
The Smith lab is also an activate member of the Microbial Evolution Research at Manchester (MERMan) group, a collective of 15 PIs and >60 research staff.
